Wow, what a fantastic morning!
We're literally just back from Glasgow's stunning Mitchell Library, Jeffrey Room where the prizegiving for the Thumble Tumble Budding Illustrator competition took place!
The morning kicked off with a lovely introduction from Scotlands own entertainer, Alasdair Gillies, followed by a chat from Glasgow School of Arts Dr Donna Leishman. Donna & her team performed the enenviable task of judging over 3000 entries from all across Scotland! The winning illustrator, Mirran Coull, Age 11, from Mosshead Primary then received her prize as did the six runners up. All the children, their teachers and parents had a fantastic time meeting Angela, Alasdair and Donna and genuinly enjoying the Mitchell's very kind hospitality.
Can't wait for the next book to launch and hope you'll all be keeping up with the news and events as the story of Thumble Tumble rolls on!
